Frequently Asked Questions

Where are my screenshots saved?

By default, screenshots are saved to ~/Pictures/CrispyShot. You can change this directory in the Preferences panel accessible from the Menu Bar icon.

Does it support multi-monitor setups?

Yes. CrispyShot supports multi-monitor and Retina displays. You can toggle between standard (1x) and Retina (2x) resolution in Preferences.

Can I change the keyboard shortcuts?

The default shortcuts are ⌘⇧9 for area capture and ⌘⇧8 for full screen. Custom shortcut mapping is available in the Preferences pane.

How do I grant Screen Recording permission?

When you first launch CrispyShot, macOS will ask for Screen Recording permission. If it doesn't, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording and enable CrispyShot.

Can I paste screenshots as files in Finder?

Yes. CrispyShot copies both the image data and a file reference to the clipboard. You can paste as a file in Finder or as an image in apps like Slack, Notion, or Messages.

What image formats are supported?

JPEG, PNG, HEIC, and TIFF. You can choose the format and set a quality level (for JPEG/HEIC) in Preferences.
